Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue, in Singapore, where he delivered remarks at the Second Plenary Session on “Priorities within Asia’s Shifting Strategic Landscape.” Dr. Kao highlighted ASEAN’s commitment to upholding ASEAN Centrality and unity, fostering inclusive cooperation and strengthening regional resilience amidst growing strategic competition and uncertainty faced by the region. He further underscored ASEAN’s role as a stabilising force and its continued efforts to promote dialogue, cooperation and a rules-based regional architecture that advances shared prosperity and convergence over fragmentation.
