Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr Kao Kim Hourn, on 25 August 2025, delivered remarks at the VIP Reception hosted by the Right Honourable Jane Lomax-Smith, Lord Mayor of Adelaide, at Adelaide Town Hall. The reception was to welcome all distinguished participants of the Australia-ASEAN Business Forum 2025. SG Dr. Kao highlighted the longstanding partnership between ASEAN and Australia and the strengthened cooperation over more than five decades. He underscored the immense economic opportunities in ASEAN for Australian businesses and encouraged all participants to explore the immense untapped potential for further strengthening of economic relations between ASEAN and Australia.
