Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this afternoon met with leading media outlets, including CGTN, BERNAMA, TV3, RTM, Reuters, and Kuwait News Agency, ahead of the 46th ASEAN Summit and related Summits, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. SG Dr. Kao emphasised ASEAN’s crucial role in addressing global economic uncertainties by, among others, enhancing intra-ASEAN trade and investment, regional integration, while maintaining ASEAN centrality and ASEAN-led mechanisms.

 

SG Dr. Kao also shared his perspectives on the the importance of the upcoming ASEAN-GCC Summit and ASEAN-GCC-China Summit, as well as other related meetings.
