Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered pre-recorded remarks at the inaugural ASEAN-ROK Think Tank Dialogue on Economic and Trade Policy (AKTD) Conference held in Jeju, Republic of Korea, on 14 May 2025. Dr. Kao underscored the growing importance of bridging research and policy to address emerging economic challenges. The AKTD Conference presents a timely and valuable platform to deepen discussions on ASEAN-ROK economic cooperation, serving as the flagship economic and trade cooperation project to be implemented after the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and the ROK at the 25th ASEAN-ROK Summit, in Lao PDR, in October 2024.
