Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Ekkaphab Phanthavong participated in the 45th Asia-Europe Foundation Board of Governors’ Meeting (ASEFBoG45) held on 11-12 July 2024 in Bali, Indonesia. The Meeting noted the implementation of various ASEF initiatives to enhance cultural and people-to-people ties between Asia and Europe and deliberated ways to further advance cooperation through new projects. The Meeting also elected Ambassador Beata Stoczyńska as the new Executive Director of ASEF and Mr. Zhang Lie as the new Deputy Executive Director of ASEF.
